Someone posted signs reading “White Only” or “Black Only” at the entrance to bathrooms and above drinking fountains around campus.
The Black Student Union called a meeting to discuss the incident. As the members deplored the signs and the racist legacy they invoked, a black graduate student rose and admitted that she placed the signs herself.
