About two hours after their discussion, Owens got a torrent of emails, purportedly from white supremacist men, threatening her and her family. The names - 'whitemanfortrump', etc. - and various other aspects of the emails, including the timing, convinced Owens that this feminist woman was behind the threats, and that they are fake hate crimes. 'I became a conservative overnight'
