"Hey hey ho, racism has got to go" chanted students from the University of Washington at a rally in defense of Darryl Park. Then it turned out his story of being attacked by six skinheads was a hoax. In fact, there had been a fight between Park and one opponent, and both were armed with clubs.
On 28 January 1992 Park pleaded guilty to bank robbery. His co-defendant had been a 'witness' to the fake hate crime.
